information

Subvergence is a series of codes that collects data from other websites and creates a mash -up with them. The notion of the image is transformed, subverted and re-approprated. Financial data become mush, text become fuzz, html becomes jargon. Everything becomes image just for a second. The beauty of the infrastucture is exposed. The internet has become the the leading economic and artistic tool for our age. Words like emergence are used to explain the propulsion of these medias into our daily lives. Convergence is used to fuse the meeting of medias onto the the paradigm of new technology. Now subvergence is the abstracted noise based visual destruction of the browser, the desktop, and the interface.

Subvergence subverts and fragments the notion of our old browser. Instead we have full screen desktop takover. Subvergence scrambles the icons of the internet. The icons of the new age are our gifs and jpegs, the codes that allow us to work, the symbols of the internet. Numbers, financial information, source code , softwares are all re-employed. We worship the computer.

Screens with multiple sounds three d with a multi-layered labyrinth use and abuse data from our computers. You can move about the top half and click through and rotate around this space.Hidden areas and sounds as well as spoken texts open up more pages scrambling technologies and ideas. Some areas also use the speech recognition download plug in.

History:
The first version went online in 2000 examples above. The first version allows multiple 3d environments.

The latest version is a real-time system, pulling information from across the web randomly re-assessing and reinterpreting the information superhighway. This has become an art web portal that can be used as an alternative interface or brow serfor the enjoyment of the web. This piece of software was released under the name Subfusion and can be downloaded from my website. It is able to link images off the web by entering urls and to be able to subvert and move these images in the browser. This browser can be downloaded which can be installed and run on your machine.
